





CBCT Advanced Topics: TMJ Evaluation for Joint Stability (1 hour)
Summary
This lecture focuses on the most complicated joint in the human body, the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). An anatomic review of the region will be accompanied by real patient CBCT images to improve familiarity. TMJ Degenerative disease (TMD) pathosis and guidelines for identification of active disease will be discussed, aiding in the determination of occlusal stability.

Refamiliarize TMJ anatomy and physiology, with CBCT as baseline image modality
Identify the nature of TMJ degeneration
Quantify disease severity
