CBCT is a complicated technology that is becoming ubiquitous in dentistry. This lecture will provide an uncomplicated introduction to the technology, discuss basic radiation biology and imaging safety, and identify common imaging errors.

The new 2026 ADA/AAOMR radiographic guidelines will also be presented.
